Coming May 2025

What happens when you combine a girl who likes to run with a girl who loves to travel???

You have a girl that decides to run a half marathon in a different country!

About three weeks ago, I complete my first full marathon. WHAT A HIGH! My goal was to complete the race under four hours, and I am proud to say I did just that. The training was hard and tedious, but after training for so long, it was hard to let my body rest the week after. So, it’s not really a surprise that, a week later, I signed up for another race in May. Only this one is in Salzburg, Austria.

I had booked tickets with a girlfriend for an annual girls’ trip, only this one was to the UK and France. Due to work restrictions, she was not able to leave as early as me, so I figured I would be in London for a couple days alone. It got me thinking of what I could do while waiting for her, and obviously, running was the only thing on my mind. Why not try something new?!?!

I’m excited and nervous, but that’s not the craziest part! A couple weeks after my marathon, my friends invited me to join them on their own vacation to Europe. After checking with work, my schedule, and paid time off (PTO), I was approved to go. Now, this meant two trips in the same time frame, only 1.5 weeks apart. It didn’t make sense to me to come home in between, especially since I had enough PTO and my work shifts could be covered. After talking to some people to cover shifts and my manager to approve that much time off, I am happy to say I will be spending the month of May 2025 in Europe!

My mind is blown, but I’m stocked! I’m going to try to keep a journal account on my site and on Instagram. The trip isn’t entirely planned, but I am excited for the new countries and experiences.

Little Hint: Eastern Europe.
