Venice

A city with waterways instead of streets; where it is considered good luck to kiss your love on every bridge you cross. A city giving way to the sea only to be remembered by those before.

I remember my mother telling me about Venice. How beautiful and quiet it was before the bustling work day, where glass was blown by hand in various colors, and how St. Mark’s Square was filled with music throughout the day.

It was one of her favorite places and after one night and an early morning walk, it became mine too.
